A Birmingham native with over 20 years in education, Alisha Callins, M.S., is a PhD candidate in Higher Education Administration and the Founder/President of Callins Preparatory Institute Online and Callins College. Combining a decade of classroom experience in Birmingham City Schools with a Master’s in Leadership, Alisha is a versatile leader who also owns Grade A Tax Services, LLC. A true Southern Lady, she balances her professional drive with a devotion to Faith, Family, Food, and Crimson Tide Football. Alisha is the wife of Jay Callins and the proud mother of four intelligent, talented children, remaining steadfastly committed to empowering her community through leadership and service.

Jay Callins: Visionary Leader & Entrepreneur

I’m Jay Callins, a Birmingham-based entrepreneur and educator dedicated to building legacy through leadership. I am a former high school football player standout who signed with the University of Alabama. I have coached at both the high school and collegiates level, I transitioned into business, making history as the first African American in Alabama to own a major fragrance manufacturing company.

Today, I’m focused on academic empowerment as the Founder and Chairman of Callins Preparatory Institute and Callins College. I hold a Bachelor of Arts, a Master or Science, a Graduate Certificate, and am currently pursuing my PhD in Bible Exposition, I combine my background in athletics, business, and faith to drive excellence in my community and for my family.
